Wow I haven't posted in a while.

So break was awesome, Israel was amazing, I practically lived downtown the second week of break, that's about all the summary I've got time and patience to write.

School's started again, and it feels like the beginning of another entire school year, for some reason. Mr. Upchurch's student teacher IS MY SAVIOR. She's like... YAY. I CAN TEACH, I CAN KEEP THE CLASS QUIET BY JUST BEING COMPOSED, MR. UPCHURCH SHOULD BE THE ONE LEAVING AT SPRING BREAK NOT ME. Woot.

So my dad just told me the funniest story, after I read my parents an excerpt from Boy Meets Boy (Thank you soooooooooooo much Dennis.) He said that when I was five, we were friends with a gay couple (I still remember them, Alistair and Mark) and they lived very close to my school in England. One day I called Alistair and said "Alistair, I have something very serious to tell you. I saw Mark walking next to my school with tall blonde woman." It turned out to be Mark's cousin or something.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Now I know why Im so pro-gay, huh. I understood the whole deal when I was five, and tried to protect it.

Like wow. =)

Update

Thanksgiving was awesome. I saw P.O.D with Kevin (Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny) and it was sooooooo awesome!! Then we waited around for my parentals to finish Casino Royale for 40 minutes. It was cool. We saw Rosemary, Dohee, Heather, and Ann and the movies and I gave Rosemary a hug. Then my dad and Kevin went to my dad's car and he told me to put this ad in somebody else's windshield wiper. And then Rosemary and all those folks came out with (I think Heather's) dad and he looked at us really weird because it was his car and he saw us do it hahahaha. REAAAAAAAALLY embarassing.

Anywhooozers. Thursday... thanksgiving at Carl's house, with the Ipsens, Kati and her mom, and the Ekloffs. I spent the majority of my thanksgiving on the trampoline with Kati and Benji, eating, having card psychic bonds, and surfing YouTube with all those people. Yep yep.

Friday... I spent the late morning/early afternoon playing with Maya, Ori, Noga, and Hadasi. One boy and three girls between the ages of 4 and 8. Wooooooow. That drained all the energy out of me. I spent the last half hour or so resting on the hammock in the sun it was comfy and Maya and Hadasi joined me partly. Then my dad pointed me out to everyone and all four of them jumped on me and broke the rest =( haha.

Saturday... well I was supposed to go to Caroline's at 5:00 to sing for her, but she wasn't home. So we picked up Dennis from his house, and my dad dropped us off half an hour early at Lazerlite for the 6:00 partay organized by Hank. We walked over to Brusters and got cotton candy explosion! Mmmmmmm. By the time we got back to Lazerlite, Kevin, Arman, Sam, and Benton had already gotten there. My ice cream became communal, and Max, Patrick, Ian BG, Ian Madvig, Jessica, Miriam, Susannah, Molly, Arman, Lara, Kati, Maha, Emma, and of course Hank all came eventually. We hung out at Lazerlite. Then they bought tickets for a game, but Dennis and I had no "moolah" (Sarah's word) so we spent the entirety of the game up in the observation deck making body cheers for team blue and making a horror movie. Fun fun fun fun, except our voices were shot.

Then more time was spent in the arcade, and we all walked over to Brusters and back at one point. At 8:15 they played another game of lazer tag. Dennis and I were so tired we spent it half sleeping on the floor of observation deck. Twenty minutes later, we heard footsteps... Kevin had come to see if we were alive and we were. So we hung up there, joined by Jessica and randomly sometimes by Sam, Benton, and Ian, for like an hour or so. The four of us were the last ones left (Kevin, Jessica, Dennis, me) so we called my dad and we all waited outside. Then my dad picked us up and we drove Kevin and Jessica home. Dennis was supposed to go to the skating rink, but it was closed, so he came to mi casa. I gave him tea and feta so he would be able to sing in church the following morning.

Sunday... Kids Alive!!! So fun. I am pumped. It was just me, Kevin, Dennis, Hayley, and Cameron, and it was a blast. We also got some really good pictures.

Well Sunday night I found out Sarah Stevens died. I don't really want to talk about this, because I am in a good mood, and I will start crying again if I start thinking about this. The only thing I want to say is how on Monday in homeroom I almost started crying because I realized Dr. Stevens killed herself on the exact same day of my cousin's two-year suicide "anniversary" and I found this horribly creepy. Mr. Houlik-Ritchey came and asked me if I was okay, and I replied yes, but I really wasn't.

Anyway, yeah. I'm happy now! I finally got to watch the movie Nick, Hank, Alex, and I made over the summer... "The Killer". I laughed my head off. I love it!!!!!

Good Mood, Good Mood.

Thanksgiving.

We were at Carl's house from 2:30ish to 8. It was super fun. Kati, Benji and I spent most of the sunlight on the trampoline. Good food, good times, good youtube videos.

Blahh when I got home my laptop said "Non-system disk or disk error" and I'm really afraid it might have died. I just talked to Dennis who said it isn't that bad, but he can't fix it at the moment. I hope he's right. I'm really miserable. I don't want to lose all the stuff on there, and I can't have it (professionally, anyway) fixed until Monday because it's Thanksgiving. Great timing, huh.

Tuesday.

Wake up at 7:03 upon mother's call. Thoughts running through head: SHIT MY ALARM CLOCK DIED. TODAY IS HMS. I have 25 minutes to get ready.

I got to school at 7:45ish because my mom drove me. I went into the choir room and got dressed. Claire did my hair. Brittany and Claire did my makeup. Totally freaking out and I was getting ready until the last possible moment.

Anyway, we performed for the school. It went SUPER well. =D I got lots of compliments everyone was soo nice.

Anyway, evening... They frosted my hair! =O Ha I looked sooo old. Anyway, it went really well. Sooo many people came!!!! Thanks so much guys. Jessica, Chelsea, and Valerie got me playdough chocolate and two cards. =D Kevin and his family, Hayley, Dennis, Erik, Sam, Lara, Peter, Molly, Arman, Emma S, Doug, Kaitlyn, Heather, Jeremy, Chloe and her family, Annie, my parents, and the Farkases all came. I was sooo happy! I got so much stuff.

Anyway, thats about the gist of it. Good job guys, but I'm glad its over.

Me looking amazed :D

Update =)

So. This week was pretty good. I will talk about the highlights. =)

Wednesday: First EVERYONE TOGETHER H.M.S Pinafore rehearsal. I wanted to stab Nolan, Jordan Evans, Michael, and sort of Derek. HOLY SHIT. Ms. Witten was sooo mad at them. It was very gratifying. VERY gratifying. Anyway, Sam and I had fun with our Mulan fight. Heehee.

Then afterwards I wanted to stab Jordan Evans EVEN MORE. Because he made Nick cry his eyes out because he, and I quote, thinks "homosexuality is bad" and openly accused him of being a potential molester in the male dressing room. Nick came outside and looked like he was about to cry, and we were like "OH my GOD are you OKAY?" and he was like "yeah" and pretended to cry and was like "HA just kidding!" and then he actually started to cry and everyone started hugging him and I took him off to the side and he told me and I started crying too but we managed to cheer him up. Yeah. Adamant Homophobes suck.

Umm, moving right along... Friday! I saw Happy Feet with friends of the family and my mom, and I saw Willow, Kelsey, Hadley, and Jory there amongst other people. It was fun. Then Maya and Ori spent their time attacking me and playing with my hair. Slightly injuring, but fun.

Saturday... I practically finished my science brochure and then we went to Jack and Jill's house for a snack/early dinner thing. In spite of the fact that I was the only person under the age of 40 there, it was pretty fun, only slightly boring at times :P. I almost started crying when I saw how altzheimers has struck Francis. Francis is Jack's mom, an 89 year old woman, and she is so very dear. It was beautiful... Jill was helping Francis get up to go to the bathroom (Francis barely eats anything, and she is very frail) and she had put her arm around Francis and Francis had put her arm around her. Francis was sort of afraid of walking in fear of tripping, so Jill said "come on, one foot at a time, its like dancing." And they sort of started swing dancing towards the bathroom. It is so beautiful how Jack and Jill help Francis so much and love her so dearly, and yet Francis sometimes has no idea who she is. She asked both Jill and Steven (both her children-in-law) who they were. She didn't remember where she lived, or where she was going, and she didn't remember her arch - nemesis, her deceased ex-husband's living widow. I almost started crying when she asked Jill who she was.

Anyway, afterwards, I went to Hansel and Gretel with Kevin and his family. I met his aunt Candace, and uncle Gary (I believe his name was Gary) and his grandparents whose names I cannot recall. Anyways, they were all very nice to me. Kevin's parents are also very nice to me. Only his sister barely says anything to me... ah well. Anna is the polar opposite of Shani -- Shani will talk to Kevin about anything, including masturbation (hehehe) -- Anna responds with one word answers when I ask her about nice innocent topics like striking set. I think I scare her.... not sure why though. Ah well. Anyway, Kevin fell asleep during Act I, Scene II. Not much he missed there... ha.

Anyway, Act II was PHENOMENAL!! The witch -- played by an almost counter tenor man -- was awesome, Hansel and Gretel were great, and of course, all the little lovable gingerbread men. I knew a bunch of them: Anna of course, Chloe, Cameron, Tony, Victoria, Jennifer, Jenny, Lydia, Agnes, Lois, Emma... hmm maybe thats it. So after it we all went down to the green room and said congrats to everyone. Fun. Dennis and Hayley came and we all sat talking around and stuff. Super funs. =)

This morning I went to machon. Then I got home, and Aubrey called me! =O She's FINALLY ungrounded, thank the lord. So we spent half an hour on the phone catching up with each other. Then I called Shani to tell her that I would see her today. I went with Kevin, Molly, and Kevin's dad in the car to Cloverdale highschool to drop them off for the all-regions band concert. Then Kevin's dad went with me to Depauw, where we met Shani at the library and went on a walk through the Nature Park. Actually, barely any awkwardness =) It was all good. Then we left after getting hot drinks at the Hub, and returned to Cloverdale to Kevin's mom, Anna, and Kevin's great aunt and uncle (his grandparents had already left) and sat down (just to say how nice Kevin's mom is, she saved me a special spot between her and Anna) and the show started. It was reeeeeeeeally good! At the end during the "standing ovation" all of his family yelled Kevin. He said he didn't hear it though :P

Well we got out of the building, after congratulating him and saying hi to Max and Benton. We walked outside and Kevin's mom took a picture of the two of us outside Cloverdale highschool. She then drove us home (45 minute drive or so) and we had an interesting car conversation.

It was a joyful day indeed.

Nov. 12th, 2006

my tallulah is soo gorgeous!

Yesterday.

Was totally amazing.

So at 11 or so Sarah picked me up to go babysitting three kids with her in Hyde Park; Brady: 8, into Star Wars, animals, Harry Potter, videogames and all that jazz; Kayla: 5, into anything pink and princessy (you should have seen her room! Bunk bed with the ladder covered by a pink princess tower and the actual bed in a pink tunnel... and the walls were all pastel pink and purple too); and Emmy: 3 (I believe, maybe four) and very hyper, not sure quite what she was into.

Well, Mark and Sherry their parents left, and we spent about half an hour picking a movie they would all agree to. Brady kept wanting Independence Day or Jaws, but we wanted to pick something everyone could watch. Finally we picked the third Harry Potter movie, so they sat down to watch it and Sarah and I ran around getting applesauce, spoonfuls of peanut butter, juice boxes, and raspberry danimals. Then we made them sandwiches, and made ourselves some too. They had these little tv dinner things of Superman, Cars, and Dora the Explorer, which they used and Sarah and I took the last one.

Well, after the movie was over, it was playtime! Sarah and I... well we went a little crazy with the lightsabers. Playing with little children is fun. And Brady has a possum for a pet! It's so cute... Anyways. That was quite fun. Kayla and Emmy loved being played with and picked up, and it was a blast.

Afterwards we went back downstairs and made them all chocolate milk and all that. Well yes. We let them play tetris and did a couple of other things and then I had to leave, so they all walked me outside and I said goodbye and my dad picked me up. He took me home and I found out Shani was coming to Pippin! We then had Hebrew speaking guests for dinner and then Kevin came at 6:30 and Dennis came a little while after that and we all hung out in my room talking about "sex and desire" (thanks Shani... haha) and then left for Pippin with Shani. We got there super early so that Shani and Bob could get tickets. We hung about saying hi to people, Kevin and I skipped innocently around the bookstore and back and went to the drinking fountain. I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while, it was exciting! Then the show started so Dennis Kevin and I sat down. The first act was amazing, besides the fact that I couldn't see what was happening on the entire right side of the stage because a very tall person was sitting only in front of the only short person of the three of us (ironic, huh). Darnet. I missed a lot of seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeex presented pastorally.

Well intermission was jolly good fun as well I suppose. Then second act. Fun. Yes. Very good show. Afterwards, Dennis, Kevin and I squeezed through the crowd onto the stage to congratulate people. Yes yes. Fun fun fun. Many good people. I talked to Greg Stone (Maha and Elizabeth will be jealous) and Kevin and I talked to Jeff Stone. Kevin suddenly said "Hi, I'm Kevin" to which Jeff asked "Is that supposed to be of any significance to me?" So after we explained to him no, he gave Kevin a four cent postage stamp, and said "to mark our meeting, I give you this four cent postage stamp. If you use it on a letter, and even add a few cents, I'm sure you will be remembered forever in a positive manner by the post office, and they shall remember me for giving you the memorable stamp." And so on. Very amusing conversation that lasted for about five minutes. When the Stones left Jeff shouted "Kevin! Take care! Oh... and bye Maya." Hahaha.

Well, that was yesterday. I just got back from going to Hillel for Machon, finding out tha tnobody was there to take me to our inter-generational-family-video interview and having to come home. I'm walking there at 10:15, as I found out from calling Jamie we meet there at 10:30.

Oh yes!

So. Nothing interesting happened at school today until gym class. Libby runs in holding a bottle of Abercrombie Fierce cologne, spraying it everywhere because it "makes her feel closer to that amazing boy [caleb, her boyfriend]. Well, not only do the locker rooms stink of "manliness", but her gym locker is in fact adjacent to mine, and upon spraying it in her locker to give her a "good feeling", (I'll take this time to interject the fact that the gym lockers at our school are not separated by full locker walls, but rather net like walls made of metal, making smell go through them very easily.) and the smell of Fierce gets ALL OVER MY CLOTHES. Not my gym clothes, but my actual clothes. Ew. I smell like a man. Elizabeth was like "when I was next to you when you all were playing Scrabble, I thought I smelled Abercrombie..." Grrrreat.

Anyway, skipping through lunch and choir. In Language Arts, we played scrabble, me and Kevin versus Jonathan, Cherryl, and Jordan. We went on to get twice as much plus one as Cherryl, who got second place. We had 57, and she had 28. Score.

Social Studies, we lost brutally in moot court... eh I expected it. I really didn't mind.

Science, we met our new Ms. Martin, as Ms. Martin (as she has oh-so considerately explained to us about her hesterrectomy or however you spell it, explaining why they are removing her uterus and so on.) will be on a six week leave. Ms. Prins slightly worries me as she is only slightly too familiar to Ms. Martin... at least she doesn't laugh like her. And can probably spell destruction without two I's.

Reading period... We played Scrabble again, Kevin and me versus Maha and Jordan, Alec (and some of Jonathan, but he had to leave for some of it), and Cherryl and Kati. What can I say? Kevin and I put two words right on top of the third, giving us 38 and 24 points each. Yes. The final scores were Alec: 56, Maha and Jordan: 62, Cherryl and Kati: 67, and Kevin and me: 133. I would say it was a good game.

So we are walking back to our lockers, me Gray, Kevin, Chloe, and Elizabeth, and Sydney Pringley and some other tall person run into me and kind of push me back into this huddle. They didn't see me because I was short. No joke. So Kevin was all nice and took my hand and led me out of there. He asked me if I was alive, and I responded with a "Yes, I think so. See? People don't even SEE me any more." And he was all like "I see you Maya!" Ah yes. So on the way out of the building, I thanked him and Elizabeth for being tall NICE people, as opposed to tall mean people.

I guess the moral to be learned from this story is, if you are short, be sure to pick tall friends. I think I've somewhat succeeded...

Bus ride home was all interesting and fun.

ha! a post!

so ive decided

im too lazy to keep posting on a regular basis

and frankly no one really cares. actually, lara cares, but lara has no livejournal.

so my livejournal is screwed. however, i do enjoy reading other peoples' posts, and i do care whats going on in their lives, so, at least currently, my usage of livejournal will only be for reading others' posts and leaving comments, not really posting my own.

any objections? leave a comment!
