So. This week was pretty good. I will talk about the highlights. =)
Wednesday: First EVERYONE TOGETHER H.M.S Pinafore rehearsal. I wanted to stab Nolan, Jordan Evans, Michael, and sort of Derek. HOLY SHIT. Ms. Witten was sooo mad at them. It was very gratifying. VERY gratifying. Anyway, Sam and I had fun with our Mulan fight. Heehee.
Then afterwards I wanted to stab Jordan Evans EVEN MORE. Because he made Nick cry his eyes out because he, and I quote, thinks "homosexuality is bad" and openly accused him of being a potential molester in the male dressing room. Nick came outside and looked like he was about to cry, and we were like "OH my GOD are you OKAY?" and he was like "yeah" and pretended to cry and was like "HA just kidding!" and then he actually started to cry and everyone started hugging him and I took him off to the side and he told me and I started crying too but we managed to cheer him up. Yeah. Adamant Homophobes suck.
Umm, moving right along... Friday! I saw Happy Feet with friends of the family and my mom, and I saw Willow, Kelsey, Hadley, and Jory there amongst other people. It was fun. Then Maya and Ori spent their time attacking me and playing with my hair. Slightly injuring, but fun.
Saturday... I practically finished my science brochure and then we went to Jack and Jill's house for a snack/early dinner thing. In spite of the fact that I was the only person under the age of 40 there, it was pretty fun, only slightly boring at times :P. I almost started crying when I saw how altzheimers has struck Francis. Francis is Jack's mom, an 89 year old woman, and she is so very dear. It was beautiful... Jill was helping Francis get up to go to the bathroom (Francis barely eats anything, and she is very frail) and she had put her arm around Francis and Francis had put her arm around her. Francis was sort of afraid of walking in fear of tripping, so Jill said "come on, one foot at a time, its like dancing." And they sort of started swing dancing towards the bathroom. It is so beautiful how Jack and Jill help Francis so much and love her so dearly, and yet Francis sometimes has no idea who she is. She asked both Jill and Steven (both her children-in-law) who they were. She didn't remember where she lived, or where she was going, and she didn't remember her arch - nemesis, her deceased ex-husband's living widow. I almost started crying when she asked Jill who she was.
Anyway, afterwards, I went to Hansel and Gretel with Kevin and his family. I met his aunt Candace, and uncle Gary (I believe his name was Gary) and his grandparents whose names I cannot recall. Anyways, they were all very nice to me. Kevin's parents are also very nice to me. Only his sister barely says anything to me... ah well. Anna is the polar opposite of Shani -- Shani will talk to Kevin about anything, including masturbation (hehehe) -- Anna responds with one word answers when I ask her about nice innocent topics like striking set. I think I scare her.... not sure why though. Ah well. Anyway, Kevin fell asleep during Act I, Scene II. Not much he missed there... ha.
Anyway, Act II was PHENOMENAL!! The witch -- played by an almost counter tenor man -- was awesome, Hansel and Gretel were great, and of course, all the little lovable gingerbread men. I knew a bunch of them: Anna of course, Chloe, Cameron, Tony, Victoria, Jennifer, Jenny, Lydia, Agnes, Lois, Emma... hmm maybe thats it. So after it we all went down to the green room and said congrats to everyone. Fun. Dennis and Hayley came and we all sat talking around and stuff. Super funs. =)
This morning I went to machon. Then I got home, and Aubrey called me! =O She's FINALLY ungrounded, thank the lord. So we spent half an hour on the phone catching up with each other. Then I called Shani to tell her that I would see her today. I went with Kevin, Molly, and Kevin's dad in the car to Cloverdale highschool to drop them off for the all-regions band concert. Then Kevin's dad went with me to Depauw, where we met Shani at the library and went on a walk through the Nature Park. Actually, barely any awkwardness =) It was all good. Then we left after getting hot drinks at the Hub, and returned to Cloverdale to Kevin's mom, Anna, and Kevin's great aunt and uncle (his grandparents had already left) and sat down (just to say how nice Kevin's mom is, she saved me a special spot between her and Anna) and the show started. It was reeeeeeeeally good! At the end during the "standing ovation" all of his family yelled Kevin. He said he didn't hear it though :P
Well we got out of the building, after congratulating him and saying hi to Max and Benton. We walked outside and Kevin's mom took a picture of the two of us outside Cloverdale highschool. She then drove us home (45 minute drive or so) and we had an interesting car conversation.
It was a joyful day indeed.
